OK – so for those of you not in the ‘love maths group’ and who are still wondering where the other 9 types are…
This is the world of binary maths.
The world that underpins this and every other computer in the universe.
nought and one.
one and nought.
That’s all there is. To infinity ∞* and beyond…
Hence 111 in binary is ‘4’ plus ‘2’ plus ‘1’ not 100 plus 10 plus 1.
111 in binary (base 2) is 7 in base 10.
And 10 in binary is 2 in base 10.
* And infinity…
Thanks to http://fsymbols.com/signs/infinity/ for the infinity sign and the ouroborus dragon
“Infinity symbol created by John Wallis in 1655 refers to things without any limit… Infinity is designated as the ∞ symbol because it was imagined as a special variation of ouroborus snake – an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail.”
